The Occupational Safety Act defines the subjects, their rights, obligations and responsibilities in the implementation of occupational safety, as well as the occupational safety regulations system intended to prevent injury at work, occupational diseases, other health disorders related to the work environment, and the protection of the work environment. The goal of the study was to obtain some initial results, check the suitability of the applied study methods, and to determine the direction the study of occupational safety management should take in Croatian companies. The study results provide information on the prescribed occupational safety management as implemented by employers, employers’ agents, immediate agents and employees’ deputies.

FPEs are also employed as fire investigators, including such very large-scale cases as the analysis of the collapse of the World Trade Centers. NASA uses fire protection engineers in its space program to help improve safety. In some countries, fire engineers are employed to provide 3rd party review for fire engineering solutions submitted in support of local building regulation applications.
