Hello everyone,
I have an Undergrad in Journalism and a Master's in Marketing. My first job was a content writer for 3 years right after undergrad and i am only claiming for points for that job. However, i have since moved on and done my Master's in Marketing and this is my current field too. Any ideas on which NOC code will i need to enter into the application?

You need to enter the NOC you are claiming at least one year of full-time, skilled work experience in. Job title or degrees aren't important. Focus on matching the job duties. Consider 1123, 5121, and 5123.
Thanks for letting me know. Yes, i've selected 1123 for now as that is what describes my current job in Marketing. However, it doesn't relate to my first role as a content writer, which is what i am claiming my points for. That company i used to work for is refusing to issue a work ex certificate with all the details like job duties etc, which is why i am wondering about which NOC to use as i am going solely according to the exact Job Title of Content Writer.

The NOC needs to match the job you're using to meet the minimum requirements and claim points. If you can't get an employment letter you may be able to apply with multiple letters from former colleagues attesting to what you did, old payslips, your employment contract/other correspondence with the employer, etc. However, it is not guaranteed.
