Hi! I'm looking for some advice/assistance regarding the National Occupational Code for the Express Entry application. I have 20 months work experience in Canada (I can only put 12 months Canadian Work Experience on my application however) with an environmental company through a Working Holiday Visa. I spent approximately 14 months as a field technician (skill-level B), where I then got promoted to a more specialized role (skill-level A) that focused on environmental compliance, report writing, health and safety etc. I spent 6 months in that role until I decided to move on elsewhere. I have a masters degree from outside of Canada, yet the NOC for the technician role does not require that level of education, but the more specialized job does.
My question is, should I focus on finding an NOC that aligns closely with my technician job role (as I have more experience in that role), or the more specialized role? If the former, would the level of my education work against me in the application process? Am I able to include several Occupational Codes with the one job?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all your help!
