Can anyone tell me if the job duties that my employer wrote on my reference letter matches NOC 2174? I saw somewhere that its a scrutinized NOC and I'm worried because it seems most rejections these days are work experience related.
My duties and responsibilities are:
- Reviewing results in the nightly DevOps system.
- Investigating any issues to identify causes of failures.
- Coordinating with team to ensure resolution of software issues
- Implementing new Selenium automated tests in Java code.
- Troubleshooting existing Selenium automation and correcting software bugs
- Preparing reports of automated test coverage for various software components
- Researching potential tools for enhancing automation efforts

I just found NOC 2283. Now I'm more confused about what to put. My job title is Software Developer but I mostly write Selenium framework and tests in Java for QA. It involves doing all the duties of 2283 but in an automated way, as in writing Java code for tests. Now I think I fit the 2283 better. What do you think? I can have my manager change the list of duties. https://noc.esdc.gc.ca/Structure/No...c1Gr7NskyUk/fdVbIe96/wNhDzxDt89RS3gUURKBCDRyU
2283 seems more close to your letter, if your work in more close to 2174 get a new ref letter with rewording your duties as per the NOC. 60-70% duties should match the NOC to be on safer-side.

Yes, I just spoke to my manager and his manager. He said hes going to give me a new ref letter with better wording for 2174. I actually cover 7/8 responsibilities for 2174 but he forgot to mention some of them and didn't word the others correctly.
Thanks!

I'm a DevOps Engineer and I used NOC 2173.
But it seems from your job duties that you are in Software Quality. You should check with other QA engineers what NOC they used.
