I feel there has been some confusion created in the forums regarding the filling of the caps for the 21%% NOCs.
My thoughts:
- The counter on CIC website always shows "completed" applications (and not processed). That can be the only reason that CIC jumped from 550 on 7th Nov to 1000 on 20th Nov - it CLEARLY displays factoring in a backlog
- While people speculate that NOC 2171 charging is now going to stop, I see that in the google spreadsheet, just around 220 apps have been charged. Even if you double this for people not entering their details, its still just around 450 apps charged !
So everyone please hold on and let CIC process applications till April 2015.
Another thing to note is that the average time between app received and fee encashed is 100 days. So obviously it takes that many days for an expert on that occupation to review an application and be sure to charge it.
So bottomline is that the counter closed when the counter closed and lets not over-analyze a process which was never executed with such high cap limits (1000)
