NOC 1431 AND NOC 1212 - Please help

What is difference between assistant accountant and accounting assistant, since first one in liable for applying under CEC and second one isn't. First one is under noc code 1212, and second one under 1431.

Duties looks the same to me..

The first one 1212 NOC B is an actual accountant, the second one 1431 NOC C is just an assistant.

But if You check under "all examples" for noc 1212 it says "assistant accountant". That is assistant too, I guess.

Suggest you scroll down past the job titles and read the duties then, the duties are most important -

NOC 1212

But even if you just look at the job titles, you will see that NOC 1431 includes mostly "clerks" while NOC 1212 includes mostly "supervisors." HUGE difference between the NOCs. NOC 1212 includes a number of supervisory duties.
