NOC 0731 (Managers in Transportation) - Do I have to be a "Manager"

Dear All,

Hi I am currently working in a container shipping company.

While looking at the NOC list for possible skilled worker immigration,

I found NOC 0731 best suits my current occupation.

However, the word 'Manager' concerns me.

Currently, I am a "Section Chief" and I would be an "Assistant Manager' in about 2 years.

(It will take about 6 years from now to be a manager, at least in my current company).

So I wonder, if I cannot apply for this NOC 0731 as my title is not a legitimate 'Manager' yet..

The noc starting with 0 is for managers. If you are a manager then use it else find another noc.

So I guess this "Manager" thing is solely based on the official title in my company..

The NOC codes are built in a tree system. If NOC 0731 seemed right, excepted for the management part, I would suggest checking NOCs starting with 7.
