no stamp for my parents when they came to canada from usa

My parents came on october 24 2018 from india to canada on visitor visa. they have stamp on their passport.this mean they can stay in canada for 6 months i.e until april 23rd 2019

But in december 2018 they visited my brother for a week and returned back to canada on jan31. i see there is no stamp on their passport.

This means they have to leave canada by april 23rd or does 6 months time count from the day they returned to canada from usa i.e jan31st

please help me
