I entered USA once through land border and they did not stamp my passport, but once I returned to Canada they stamped my passport. In addition to this; it is a one day travel. I understand that we don't need to declare one day travel. How this will impact my application?

Did you already have a i94 issued when you entered USA? When a person usually returns to canada by land, the officers usually scan the PR card and do not stamp the passport. Did you enter by car or by bus?
no i94. I assume i94 is not issued anymore. Its all electronic now. When I entered the US port officer said he is not going to stamp my passport since I have a valid previous entry stamp into USA.

so before this land travel, did you go to usa by air and the passport was stamped? what was the date when you went to usa by air and when was the date when you entered usa by land?
I would like to calculate the info for you.
If the number of day trips to the U.S. is few, go ahead and enter those into the online residency calculator. Any travel entered for which the date of exit and date of entry are the same, the calculator accepts and calculates as zero days absent.
Technically there is no need to declare day trips, but again if there are just a few, including them will not clutter the residency calculation and when someone at CIC sees the entry date (whether in a CBSA travel history or passport stamp), they can readily see you reported it.
you should be fine. CBP only stamps passports once in 6 months, then you can make multiple visits to usa.
I am just wondering why CBSA stamped the passport on arrival in Canada by land? At Vancouver airport, we have automatic kiosks where we just scan the pr card and then no stamps are made. When we arrive by land at the canadian border then cbsa officer does not stamp the passport, they just scan the pr card.
