No dependants -- what did most of you do with IMM0008DEPENU?

Hi everyone...

I'm a Canadian who's going to sponsor my wife to Canada....only her and nobody else (and we have no children either).

Just wondering....to those of you who sponsored their spouse only (i.e: with no dependants, just like us) and got approved successfully with no glitches, what did you do with IMM0008DEPENU? (The "Additional Dependants" form)

Did you:

- Not submit it at all, OR
- Submit it and write "N/A" in all the fields, OR
- Write a big giant "N/A" on each page, OR
- Submit it and leave it completely blank?


And if you used no representative, I assume you did the same with IMM5476 (Use of a Representative)?

IF there are no dependants in IMM0008DEPENU then please click remove dependant button so you don't need to fill dependant spaces, and then you can validate to generate the bar codes.

If you are using no representative you can leave that form and you don't need to include in your application.

The one that has a "remove dependant" button is IMM0008...... I was referring to IMM0008DEPENU though...a different form...

those two forms you mentioned, the representative and the additional dependants are optional forms and will be submitted with the application if applicable only otherwise you don't need to submit it

You can read the checklist document http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5443E.pdf, it says if applicable you put a check otherwise you leave it blank the checkbox

Hi fandv,

to fill out the 'Additional Dependants/Declaration Form (IMM 0008DEP)' you would need to have dependants. Check IMM0008 guide...there they say 'Who must fill out this application form? This form must be completed by: You, the principal applicant on behalf of each of your dependant.

If you don't have any than you don't need to fill out IMM 0008DEP. Because you don't have depends, just do the follwing: 'To remove a dependant from the application, click the “Remove Dependant” button on IMM0008.

That should 'solve' the problem. If you don't want to delete it cause you're still unsure, you definitely have to write N/A in all fields. Don't leave any gaps.

**Click Remove Dependent on IMM0008.
