Hello,
My husband is a Canadian PR who is sponsoring me. I don't have a birth certificate and I enquired in the hospital too but unfortunately they couldn't provide me with one.
Is birth certificate mandatory or is there any other document that I can submit?

Aopparently this is not uncommon in India, provide other docs such as school leaving certificates, and a letter of explanation. Possible the national identity card is now accepted?
But I have also heard/understand that there is some kind of 'date of birth certificate' that is issued on basis of passport by consulates, presume that it's possible there is something similar available within India.
What armoured said. I recommend watching this video. This Youtuber is my go to guy for my whole application process.
I also don't have a birth certificate as I am a war refugee moving from camp to camp. Luckily my parent still keep a bio data sheet recorded where I was born and such so I just used that with letter of explanation.
Hello there, I hope you got all positives in your immigration processes. Currently I am also in situation where My wife Doesn't have birth certificate and we are not able to get NABC letter. So Please guide me other options based on anyone's experience here?
Hi Nikunj, I hope you got any solution I’m also facing same issue right now, unable to get birth certificate but I’ve heard about an affidavit if you have more information on it please share.

We are not getting any birth certificate or NABC letter. My consultant suggesting that the affidavit thing was working before but now they ask for Bls consulate DOB certificate and they don’t consider any affidavit. So I am just waiting for that certificate.
Ok, well I have NABC certificate and I’m applying on my own, I have read on IRCC website that NABC letter, affidavit and explanation letter will work. I’m gonna apply either tomorrow or day after tomorrow will definitely update you if I’ll get any response regarding birth certificate.

It is kind of DATE OF BIRTH certificate they issue from Bls office based on our passport. It is not actual birth certificate. It is the last option if you don’t have birth or NABC certificate. But you have NABC so you are good
