Hello everyone

I am planning to apply for Nexus card and I have two separate valid visas for entry to US. A tourist visa expiring in 5 years and a dependent visa expiring in 1 year. While filling the application, the system asks for the proof of documents which you will use to enter US.
  1. Which visa stamp shall I use for this purpose ?
  2. If I use 1 year dependent visa, will I get Nexus card with 1 year validity only ?
Thanks a lot for the help.

It is possible that the visa issued to you first was already canceled and the one issued later is the only one valid. They might have forgotten to stamp cancelled in your passport.

My opinion will be to use the visa issued last.

The older visa doesn't get cancelled. I had visitor visa, later got student visa and studied in states, later moved to H1B and then moved out of states. I used the visitor visa, which was still valid, to visit for a short tourist trip after I had already moved out of states.

Thanks for correcting. It seems only petition bases visas (student, work, etc) get cancelled after the underlying petition had expired.
