Nexus Entry question please reply

Hi I have question, one of my friend was saying since 2.5 years he never been pulled over to secondary inspection with NEXUS card for daily commute , is the believable, I have NEXUS card too but I been pulled over every 3-4 months suddenly for secondary inspection but he was saying he never been pulled over , is there any problem with my info may be ?? NEXUS commuters please help me , thank you

you have likely been flagged for some reason or fit a certain criteria for routine checks.

I've had NEXUS since 2011 and have never been pulled over for secondary unless I declared something. I don't do a daily crossborder commute however, and my travel back and forth is usually via plane.

EDIT: I did get pulled over once during land crossing back to Canada because the NEXUS lane was down and the inital CBSA officer refused to accept our NEXUS card as proof of Canadian citizenship (it has "USA" has citizenship). Hence he sent us to secondary for them to look us up in the system to confirm our citizenship.
