Newly married wife, 2nd try for her getting Visitor Visa Q's

Ok so I will definitely do the TRV for now, family class can wait for the moment.

I still have these questions for the TRV:

1. Should I write the invitation letter or should my sister (who we will stay with in Canada) write it?
2. Should I mention that she will do the Family Class immigration in approx 2 years time? as we are established here in China, I still have 2 years left on my contract. I am in a technology industry that here that Canada is not as developed as China, thus needing to gain more experience here first.
   
3. When applying online for the visa, should I use my own email address, or hers? Or does it matter? It will be using my Canadian online banking as the secure token, so just checking.

Yes, I would recommend that you include evidence (in her application, of course) for your work contract + a leave approval letter from your employer + any critical work commitments that you must return to after the intended visit + your bank statements (to confirm salary transfers), etc



Is it possible for her to register for the conference before she applies for a TRV?
When do you intend to visit? Hopefully, you are not applying too much in advance



Do include the car ownership documents + repayment statement.

Also, do include any other evidence:
Rent agreement, 2-3 recent rent receipts, highlight the bank transactions on the bank statement + if her family is financially dependent on her + any personal/family commitments that she must return to after her visit (evidence is required)



Do include evidence of enrollment + tuition fee receipt + exam fee receipt and exam schedule, etc.

If this is an online program, it won't really help much as a tie to return to.



Does she have credit cards (even if her bank balance is more than adequate to cover the visit)?



Just 3-4 pictures would suffice + your marriage certificate



From your sister + copy of her passport + her financials (if she would like to provide those, it is not mandatory for the host to give these documents)



You can mention you don't intend to apply for spousal PR just yet. Do be careful about how you word this from a long-term perspective keeping in mind her PR application later.

You can also include a small explanation/evidence on the monetary/career benefits that you are hoping to achieve by staying in China for the next two years + something similar for her career

Proof of her relationship to your sister would be through the marriage certificate (indirectly)

Yes we are doing the cover letter now putting in all those things you mentioned: application/ refusal/purpose of visit/ strong ties/ finances/ travel history, etc plus my proof of working and living here, needing to get back to work, thus indirectly strengthening her ties to China.

2 more questions:

1. When doing our travel itinerary, we will be staying with my parents for about 5 days. Do I also need a letter from them and proof of residence, finances etc. in addition to my sister's (which I would say is the principal residence for time of stay)?
2. To prove my ties to China (thus proving her ties), I got a copy of our electric bill with my name on it. I have a rental contract but it expires April 19. I feel putting this is fishy as it will expire soon. Is it necessary to show with an explanation that I plan to renew or not include with the electric bill being good enough? I will include my work contract (til 2020), and employment letter.

• His parents and sister have visited us here.

• We both have careers here, I have just completed Year 1 of my 3 year contract.

• We plan to live in Shenzhen until my contract expires in April 2020, and then consider our move to Canada to start a family.
• My employment situation in Shenzhen is very stable and the job opportunities here allow for a better path to career development as compared to Canada thus my wanting to remain in China for the short to medium term.

I respectfully ask for you to grant a visa for [her] to see Canada.

Below is documented proof of my living in Shenzhen:

Ok so just an update, got the approval after 20 days of submission. It said on the site 9 days average, but after waiting 16 days I submitted an online inquiry what's taking so long.then a few days later, got the approval to send in the passport.

Just a final note for people wondering, got the passport back today, it was a multiple entry, granted for the full validity of her passport.
