Canadian wife had baby in canada, husband ready to submit passport to canadian embassy for visa by next week.
Should they inform birth of baby immediately or wait until he submits his passport first. They are afraid if embassy asks for birth certificate (which takes at least 6-8 weeks to be made) they wont have enough time as time to submit passport is only 30 days.
Any suggestions on what should be done? or will it not matter if they told embassy about birth as baby is in canada already and is a canadian?
They should inform the VO now. A birth certificate may or may not be requested and if it is, an emailed copy is perfectly acceptable. This will have no bearing on the passport request.
Thank u for ur reply. They Dont uave problem emailing the birth certif. copy but the problem is its not created yet as baby was born only 5 days ago and birth registration takes 6-8 weeks.

They can simply tell CIC that and send it when they get it.
If the mother is Canadian and the baby was born in Canada you don't need to send anything into the visa office. Your hubby can send his passport in for his visa and all will be okay.
I have birth while in this process and all we did was inform CIC of the birth. They didn't ask for anything at all
So unless I'm confused as it what you are asking nothing really needs to be done

It depends on the VO. Some request the birth certificate.
