im currently in Australia applying for my Visa, via the NZ Embassey to obtain the IEC working Visa. I booked my tickets too soon to goto Canada(rookie mistake)
1. If i was in canada (my tickets are due to leave in a week) when my visa arrives - Is there a period of how long i have to leave the country prior to re entering ?? Or would you reccomend not entering Canada at all.
2. NZ police clearance - Should i obtain one direct from NZ or is the Actual Disclosure form enough ???
3. Famous question .... As my ticket is booked - any idea on how long processing times can be through Sydney atm ????
1. You can enter caada as a visitor provided you are able to convince the Border protection officer that you are eligible.
2. Once you get the POE letter, you can flagpole and get your work permit activated.
3. If possible, I would suggest extending the ticket and wait until you get the approval.
4. I am not sure about the police check, But i think you need an actual police clearance ceritificate and not the disclousire form.
5. Sydney no longer processes IEC applications. You are suppose to submt an application online and its processed in two stages. What stage are you at ? I applied for stage 1 though Kompass and it was approved in 4 days and I applied for my work permit via CIC account and was approved in 24 hours so pretty quick as long as you include all the required documents.
No. I paid the payment in step one with Kompass. U should not have to pay any fee while applying for a work visa as u should have paid that in Kompass.
I did not have any issues with the signatures as well.
