New work permit and new visa from within Canada

Hi Guys,

My previous work permit and TRV expired on March 31. To get new visa, I applied for new work permit to extend my stay in Canada. Now I have got a new work permit and want to apply for visa.

The problem is while selecting the option of "apply from within Canada" I go through questions and at the end I find an application form IMM5257 which is form for applying from outside Canada, and in supporting documents it demands Itinerary(travelling ticket and destination) details. As I am already in Canada, which form do I need to apply for visa?

Should I apply under the heading of extending ur stay or under new visa?

Please share detail and share link if any comrade knows details.

I have the same question; I am in Canada, have got the work permit renewal approved and want to apply for visa.
I also end up with same application form IMM5257 which is form for applying from outside Canada. As I am already in Canada, which form do I need to apply for visa?

It was very confusing indeed, I'm lost and I can't find a form to apply within Canada on working condition.

Hi,
In the form it will show that it's for outside of Canada but it's same thing for within canada /outside canada. So your good to go and submit your Application. You need to fill the same form and on this basis you will get the new visa stamp with multiple entry.

Can I ask you one thing- How you apply for extension of your work permit?
