I'm currently in Canada about to finish my bachelor's degree (business) on May 6. During the past 4 years, I've been working part time (20 hours per week) as a cook in a grocery store restaurant (never stopped working during the lockdown). I would like to apply for the new public policy (as pretty much all foreign nationals) but my university will take 4 to 6 weeks to send the graduation letter that will allow me to apply for the pgwp and therefore, the program. Yet, I don't want to miss the opportunity to try apply for the new policy but I don't know if I fit in within the essential worker stream or do I need to apply for the international students one (I'm afraid it will be full by the time I get to apply)?
