I became a PR in March 2012, landed the same month, stayed in Canada for 2 days and left.
I haven't been to Canada since. Working in the US.
Do I need to file a tax return?
(appreciate any advice, suggestion; thanks in advance)

No, as you didn't become a tax resident, and you didn't earn any money in Canada.
Thanks a lot PMM ... as always ... you've been a great guide.

1. Did you land on your own or there is spouse/ children in Canada?
2. Did you apply for SIN, DL and/or Provincial Health Card?

That's irrelevant. One can still be consider non-resident for tax purposes if any of the above applicable.

1. I am single with no children.
2. Got my SIN but didn't apply for DL or health card. Don't even have a bank account in Canada.
I'm in same situation. I landed as PR on 16 September 2012 at Vancouver and my wife did landing on 17 September 2012 at Fort Erie. My wife is living in Canada from last 3 years(previously international student). I left Canada after 2 weeks and came back to Australia. Now i have a PR card, SIN card and Ontario driving licence, i'm just wondering that do i need to file a tax return ?.
