New portal for study visa application

Hi. Is there a new portal for study visa application? If we do a google search as 'apply for Canada study permit' it takes us to their regular IRCC website and from there we can begin our application. But of late, they have also launched a new portal to apply for study visa but to get to that you have to do extensive search. Can anyone guide the difference between the two portals and which one is recommended?

What new portal? There is a new portal for visitor visas.

Why don’t you want to use a IRCC GC Account which is the link from the study visa page?

You can use both portals. I personally used the old portal which is the gckey one. But one can use either of them. For the new portal you don't have to fill any IMM forms but I'm not sure cause I haven't used it.
