I have recently submitted my PR application and yet to receive medical clearance. But currently my passport has 11 months validity. If i a get a new passport now, will that impact anything to my PR process and how should inform CIC about new passport. Anyone please suggest how to proceed. What I know is, minimum 6 months validity is required for PR process but currently I need new passport for VISA stamping. Please suggest.
you should be fine with getting a new passport and when you receive PPR, you can send the new one.
if you have doubt then raise CSE and send new passport images to IRCC
but it does not make a difference, I did and they did not forward to my officer since it was useless for them

Hi,
I just received AOR on 09/01/2020 and I have to renew my passport. What will be the procedure to notify CIC that I have a new passport and will this impact the processing time of my PR application?

Hi,
I used my son's old passport that is expiring in a month from now while submitting my documents and received AOR two months ago. Now we got his renewed passport. How can I update IRCC with his new passport details. Could anyone have done this?
