Hi Everyone,
I and my husband are PR since May 2014 but we returned to India after 1 month. My baby was born in India. It was a very big mistake that we made was that we assumed that our baby's Pr will be a quick and easy process. When we planned to come to Canada, we applied for her visit visa thinking that her PR process can be done from Canada itself. Unfortunately her visa got rejected and we had to leave her with her grandparents. Its now more than 7 months that I have been away from my daughter.
I had applied for my 2.5 years old daughter's PR in family sponsorship on April 23, 2017 from missisuaga and receieved medical from new delhi office on June 19, 2017. Her medicals were submitted on June 28, 2017. Since then we have not heard back and waiting for the next steps. Can anyone suggest how much more time it may take from now. I am really under lot of stress and can't stay away longer from my daughter. Meanwhile I have again applied for her visit visa and waiting for the result.
Thanks

Hi
It will likely take a few more months until the stamped passport and COPR are received.
You should have applied for a TRP, Temporary Resident Permit, instead of a TRV. With the PR app in process, the sponsor needs to be in Canada but could still go for a short visit of a few weeks; the other parent could go visit for longer.
Well the first visa applied was TRP only which got rejected. Then second time TRV got rejected. Now applied PR and recieved medicals and have applied for TRV again and provided all details on the purpose of the visit as according to them she is not a bonafide candidate for visa. I have requested on humanitarian grounds.
I will be completely shattered if they willl reject visa this time. We are already very unhappy with this robotics system where they are open to several visas and express enteries and making this so reasonable case so damn complicated.
Anything I can do to make it in my favor?

Hi Shefali
I am in the same boat. Can you tell me if your final attempt for the TRV was successful this time?
