hi..my husband,my 2yr old son and I are currently in Vancouver as new immigrants however things are so expensive here so we planning to shift to New Brunswick . We wanted to know how is the job market in St. John’s and moncton ..
I guess to answer your question might help if you share what sort of jobs you are looking forks so ebody in the same field might share some experience of the job market.
Why don't you try to apply online first to test the market? In your cover letters you could let employers know that you will be moving to NB by X date and will be available from that date for in person interviews. If you can get a couple of replies or interviews invitations then you can make a move.
People are moving from the Maritimes to larger cities because of the lack of opportunities. What you are planning to do is the reverse. Saving on costs would not be much helpful if you can't secure any meaningful employment.
Toronto is Canada's Financial hub...there are more jobs here in the Banking and Finance sector than any other city in Canada...you may want to consider moving to the GTA.
