The Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) has introduced a new visa category called the Alberta Work Experience. Under this program, eligible temporary residents are invited to apply for permanent residence in the province of Alberta.
Eligible Applicants will:
•be employed in a managerial, skilled and semi-skilled occupation;
•be employed in an Eligible Occupation in Alberta;
•hold a valid work permit and have been employed full-time in one of the eligible occupations listed on the Eligible Occupations List for at least 2 out the last years or 3 out of the last 4 years ; and
•intend to continue residing and working in Alberta in one of the eligible occupations on the Eligible Occupations list.
This program is one of the many new pathways to Canadian permanent residency currently in place to attract future migrants who come to Canada students or temporary workers.
