Long story short, we got our AOR yesterday and uploaded everything correctly. For proof of marriage, standard marriage certificate from registrar was provided.
However, in our Address History, we do not have a common residential address during 3 years of marriage!! It's like we have not lived together after getting married in 2015.
This is because we stuck to addresses as per passport for ease of PCC etc. Is this going to be a problem?!?
"common residential address" is only something they look for in 'common-law' partners.
Ideally you should have updated your passports to have the same address or mentioned it in Letter of Explanation.
However I would not worry about it. CIC is not looking for our mistakes, as long as your marriage certificate is genuine and they don't doubt your claim of marriage, you are fine.
don't worry, nothing to worry about. As far as getting passport done is going to be a nightmare is concerned, not true. Passport authorities pass the file to the police, who verify your current address. that's it. Proof needed is rent agreement and bank account. However, all this does not matter considering you have already submitted your application. All the best!

From what you have said, you gave IRCC a false address history. That is misrepresentation. You needed to list the ACTUAL addresses where you lived, regardless of whether they were the address in your passport.

All - there is no trace of my wife living with me. The name is not on rent agreement, she doesn't have a bank account in the city, is self employed and hence is not bound to a location. She juggles between her hometown and my work location. She spends most of my time with me, though.
Her passport was updated from her hometown in Feb to include my name - should I now change the address in Express Entry to current residential address?

This is now really a judgement call you need to make. Not sure you will have enough time within the 90 day ITA window to:
get a passport for your wife with current residential address
after you get the passport you will need to apply & wait for a PCC at the new address, not sure if they will issue for a newly changed address as the PCC inquiry is done by the local police station.
change the details in the EE application
mention in the LoE that the passport details have changed, with explanation. CIC takes a snapshot of the EE when ITA is issued and again after the e-APR is submitted. Any changes need to be reasonably explained.

Not going to change documents, just simply gonna change my wife's address in e-APR to actual residence in a few weeks (making it seem she moved from hometown to my place). It will be raised as 'change in personal circumstances.
This doesn't involve changing passport because PCC is already obtained and submitted.

There was no need to lie about the addresses in the first place. Regardless of whether the address on the passport was the same or different than the address used in the app, IRCC wouldn't have cared. PCCs cover the entire country, so it doesn't matter if the address use to get it was different than in the app.
You need to properly correct this, as it really is misrepresentation and could end up in not just a refusal but a 5 year ban from Canada.

Thanks - but how can it amount to refusal? There is no material proof that shows my wife living with me. On the contrary, all proof points to her hometown. She even did medicals, affidavit etc. from her hometown.
No way IRCC finds about this - my only concern is that the address history shows we have never lived together and to me, that's little problematic.

It doesn't matter if you don't have proof. You were required to list where she lived and you gave a false address. You lied, which is fraud. Fraud = refusal and ban.
