My baby was born 6months back in Canada. I came to Canada while I was pregnant. I am myself Canadian Resident but my Pakistani husband lives in Pakistan. I want to apply for baby's passport but my husband back in Pakistan has refused to cooperate in signing the application . Is it possible that I myself only sign the application for only? should I write letter of explanation to the passport or I need a court order? Pls give some advice.
Hi Shama,
What is your Husband status, I don't thing it is mandatory to have husband signature. You can go Passport office and inform them that you cannot have your husband signature and baby is with you. I am assuming you are still in Canada. Do you have baby birth certificate with you?
