Hello everyone. Just a question regarding being charged with ongoing PR application.
If one, as a permanent residency applicant, is accused of a criminal offense (outside of Canada) by someone else but the prosecutor has neither started to handle the case nor filed/issued/authorized any charges against him, is he considered being charged and therefore should inform IRCC about the case immediately? No arrest, custody, or conviction as far. The case was handled by a police who thought that it was very likely that the case would be dropped by the prosecutor as the nature of the case is more of a commercial dispute rather than a criminal offense.
The application is at PPR stage, not yet landing.

Thanks for the reply. It’s in the passport request stage. Depending on the outcomes… does it mean that he needs to inform IRCC only when the prosecutor files a charge against him?
