Me(UK) and my girlfriend(Canadian) have been looking into atleast a work Visa for a while now. We can't seem to find any leeway on it. Right now she is currently pregnant with my child and is due at the beginning of June. I was living over there from April last year until January this year. I will be going back again at the end of February but I would like to get some sort of visa sorted rather than just a visitors Visa.
Does her being pregnant with my child give me any better chance of getting a visa?
also how do I go about applying for a work visa into Canada. Do I need to have a job offered to me beforehand?

Are you going together or is it just you? As a temporary foreign worker, you would need to already have a job offer and an approved LMO.
It's all on the CIC website.

Ah.. Would CIC consider you to be in a common-law relationship? If so, her being pregnant might cause them to think that you will overstay.

It is possible that in 2 months time CIC would consider us common-law. Right now it hasn't been a full year though. I also applied for an extension to my visitor visa last year. This got accepted which I have proof of.

OK, so all you need to do now is find a job with an employer that will raise an LMO for you...
