iam sure everybody must be knowing my story by now....my initial appl was sent in mar first week n march end i got it back as it was incomplete...so we filled again n sent it in april first week however 2 days after it reached cic cap got filled...my consultant says i should wait for 3 months to get acknowledgemnt as he is still positive that I WILL GET PER...i wanna know
1. does it make sense what he is saying???shld i believe him which i dont anyways.....
2.should i start preparing for july....
3. i think cook will not require any credential assessment...i hope it stays on the list
1. It's impossible for your consultant to know if your application made the cap or not. If I had to bet, I would say that you've probably missed the cap since it typically takes a few weeks for CIC to open applications.
2. Since your application arrived so close to the cap being reached, I would start preparing for July.

Though i am just a wonderer nor a senior member,
if my information is right ,
-credential assessment is the assessment where your credential is assessed based on Canadian system your credential is evaluated, for eg if you have a master degree in your home country sometime its evaluated as only bachelors degree in Canada , in past its done after people arrive in Canada, but now the CIC has proposed to send their credential assessment for few selected nocs before they apply for PR,

The cap has been reached. CIC has received 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications for processing since July 1, 2011.
However, certain applications are still eligible for processing. From now until June 30, 2012, we will only consider applications:
with an offer of arranged employment, or
submitted under the PhD stream (see below) until the cap of 1000 applications is reached.
If new Ministerial Instructions are not issued before July 1, 2012, the current cap of 10,000 new applications will re-set on that date.
if i understand it correctly if no announcement is made same list will stay however the applications that they rec after cap reachd will be sent back rite????
