for those of u who sponsor and live outside Canada what did u answer at this question in the Sponsor Questionnaire? if my sole reason of being outside Canada is to live with my partner how do i know the exact date of my return when the whole application could take from 8 to 25 months? :-\
i'm afraid if i just put a date to be put, they will check if i'm in Canada after that date and then make me trouble; if i explain that i plan to resume residency a few months before my partner lands is it enough? :
I just put that I would return after PR was granted to my spouse and explained it all on a separate page. I do not know the exact date either, It depends on when pr is granted.....
thanks Huron, did they accept ur answer? did u get approved as sponsor? and also, important, do u have any job offer in Canada? (i don't have yet obviously)
sorry for all the questions, but all the situations r different....thanks

I had the exact same dilemma. I wasn't going to return unless my boyfriend was approved. I didn't have an apartment or job lined up. I had a plane ticket to go home in December and never took the flight since his status still wasn't approved. All i had was a letter from my parents stating that we would be living at their house unless we were settled.
We have now been unofficially approved so i doubt its a problem - and i am still outside of Canada as we speak.
