Hello, So me and my wife just mailed our inland application 12 days ago. We just found out that she is 3 weeks pregnant.
So should we inform the CIC about the pregnancy now or later or at all? If so how would I do that?
She has travel insurance for only 4 months left, what should we do about that? Is there health care, if she gets her openwork permit approved? (as i have read they approve that before the actual PR application, average maybe 3-5months time?) We are in BC, if that makes a difference.
Also any other thing we should be doing to help us out, I might not not thought of all the things right now.
IRCC is not concerned with pregnancies except as they impact a client's ability to undertake the immigration medical.
Once she has status in Canada (besides visitor) she will be eligible for provincial health insurance. There is often a waiting period.
My wife became pregnant after we applied for residency as well. We were able to get her on my MSP plan by just filling out the online application and sending in the receipt for the pr application and her airlines tickets. There was a waiting period for coverage. Three weeks after applying her msp card arrived in the mail. We are in BC as well. Good luck !

Thank you for your reply, this would help alot if it works for me too.
When you say on your MSP what does that mean?
Did your wife get her OWP already when you applied?
Right now she does not have a status other than visitor in Canada, I think I need to wait?
I just called MSP and they said I just have to mail in Form MSP203 along with copies of her boarding pass, passport, and sponsorship receipt.
Thanks for your help!
How far along are you on your application? Did you inform IRCC about the pregnancy?
