Hello Everyone,

I am looking forward to go to Canada for my masters. I am planning to apply for Seneca college. I need some info regarding the below points :

1. I am a Civil Engineer working in an IT industry from last 2 and a half years. I am planning for an IT managment course. I have heard that canadaian vias ambesy have problems while approving visas for such varied profiles, to what level is it true?

2. Are there any better options available than Seneca? say Lambton or Humber?

3. Job perspectives after the course.

Thanks lot in advance for your advice :)

Regards.

very true .....its a course mismatch...ur going as a student so ur student profile is more relevant then ur work profile

i am not sure how masters and these colleges fit in? u want to do a PG course or masters?

3. Job perspectives after the course.
depends on ur course, ur soft skills , ur work experience, ur contacts, ur presentation skills etc getting a degree /diploma does not guarantee a job....degree/diploma is just a piece of paper and what counts is what skills u have......

thanks for the reply.
I have 2 years of IT experience and the requires either a degree in IT or relevant exp, I am currently working with an MNC from 2 years.
I am looking for diploma course, not for a degree, any better colleges you would like to suggest?
There's one more option, I can apply for normal Project Management (not specifically IT), would that be a better option?

well there is a chance u could justify project management however anything other than civil engineering runs a risk of visa rejection on the grounds of course does not match and not a logical progression.

Thanks.

I think general Project Management would be better idea as compared to IT.

Do you have any ideas of good colleges offering the same with co-op?

Hi,

Any reviews for Centennial, Humber colleges?

Also, how much would the co-ops help you in your career?
