I need advice on my case...I was married to Canadian citizen and was sponsored under family class in 2011, I received my PR in may 2013...due to unavoidable circumstances we are now divorced and living separately.
my question is if i marry can i sponsor my spouse to come to Canada? remember i myself was sponsored by my previous spouse so is that allowed? are there any caveats?
What all do i need if i can sponsor my future spouse?
I "think" there is a 5 year ban on sponsoring a new spouse if you received pr through spousal sponsorship. If that is correct, then i believe you wouldn't be eligible as a sponsor until 2016 or 2018. I'm not sure if they back date to when the application was received or when pr was granted.
My application was back in 2011...and i received my PR in 2013.
so does that condition apply to me? I am aware condition for being married for 2 years doesn't apply to as i came in to affect in 2012 and my first marriage lasted for almost 4 years and we have a child in common.

you are thinking about condition 51, which is about maintaining PR status and does not affect you. your original question was about whether you can sponsor a spouse for pr when you yourself were sponsored as spouse. they are different rules, and i don't believe 1 has anything to do with the other.

Shahbaz - The 5 year sponsorship ban does apply to you. You won't be able to sponsor your spouse until 5 years have passed since you landed - meaning May 2018.
You can sponsor your wife after completing five years from the date of your being PR. ( from may 2013 )
Try some other way like TRV or study visa for her to be together.
