I have applied visitor visa online for my dad using CIC website, its been more than 3 weeks and there is no response or update in the file. My dad has worked in State government Police department as Sub-inspector of police and he had retired in 2013. I am also in same situation, my father is also retired from police department and it's been a month for me since i have applied for a visiting visa. Could you please tell me in your case how many days it took and do you have any idea there was some extra background checks conducted so that it took more time? Really appreciate your response.
