I need an advice because my boyfriend wants me to visit him in Canada but I am not sure if he can invite me as fiancé because we just started dating a month ago. Right now I am working in China and my contract will be renew on March 2015 in case that I apply for a tourist visa will I be able to stay in maximum time that they will give me incase? Like 5 months? Do I need to have a full time job to apply a visa? Can my boyfriend send me an invitation as a friend? thanks alot hope you can help me… :'(

Sure, your boyfriend can send you an invitation letter. A full time job is a plus. 5 months is a long time - Since you are a first time traveler to Canada, 2 weeks multiple entry is more realistic (although you might be stay up to six months if the officer you encounter at the port of entry allows it).

Like I said, how much time you are given to stay in Canada really depends on the officer you encounter at the port of entry.
