NEED HELP! URGENT!!! TRV & Stamping Visa process

Hi everyone!

I urgently need some help. I applied for the Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) on October 28 from within Canada. I currently hold a Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) and am working in Nova Scotia. My TRV was approved on November 13, but due to the Canada Post strike, I had to retrieve my passport and send it through FedEx for visa stamping.

FedEx tracking shows that my passport was delivered on December 13, but I haven’t received any updates since then. Is there any way to speed up the process? Could someone share their timeline with me? I urgently need my passport back to travel home for a critical situation. I’ve already booked my flight for January 13.

Please help me! I’ve called, but they keep saying that my passport hasn’t even been printed yet.

I had the same situation. I got my TRV approved on Dec 2nd, sent it on Dec 3rd via Purolator and was delivered the next day.

They stamped my passport a week later, and received my passport back a week after being stamped.

Did you send a return envelope?

Hi! Thank you for replying! Yes, I did send a return envelope (also FedEx), but I'm so worried because they received my passport on Dec 13, and I still haven’t heard anything back. How did you find out they stamped your passport? I called, and they said mine is still in the queue waiting to be printed ((((

I’m so scared I might have to change my flight.

It's holiday season. They may be working slower than usual. Stay positive and hope that you get your passport on time, but also have a backup plan in case you don't. It's hard to tell.
