Hello,

I am currently in the United States on F-1 (Student) Visa. I am an Indian citizen.

I am flying to India on 17th December 2013 and have a stop-over of 4 hours at Toronto.

I had submitted an online application for my Transit Visa through Canada on September 6, 2013. The usual processing time for the Los Angeles office is 32 days. It has been more than 80 days since my application and I haven't received any reply from the office yet.

Please help me in this matter. I am very tensed since I don't have my visa stamped yet. :( :(

1. Have you checked mycic? Have you checked your spam folder? If there is nothing there, send a case specific email to Los Angeles.

I checked mycic and my spam folders as well. I even sent case specific emails to LA. I also emailed them at los-angeles-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca and at CPP-CTP-OTTAWA-TRV-VRT@cic.gc.ca. But i have not received a single reply from them.

I had one more question. Do I even require a transit visa?

Since I wont be going out of the airport, I will just be changing my terminal. I have a halt just for 4 hours. Still do I require a visa?

Yes.

What do you suggest I should do? Should I wait? Or re-apply? Will going to the LA office and applying there help?

Can someone help? Any phone number or email where I can contact them? Will going to LA consulate help?

Hey,

I am in a similar situation, I only have 28 days before my flight :o. I wanted to know what happened with you, if you could share your experience that would be very helpful.

Thanks

I sent them an email everyday at 6am Pacific time (which is 8am their time and i assume they start work). I finally got my passport 9 days before my flight. I was prepared to miss my flight though.
