hi following is my profile.
came to canada: sept 2013 (i did b pharm from india so i got visa base on that program.
sep 2013-jan 2014 drop study
changed college and program and started one year diffrent program then field of my study...finished in augest 2014.
then i took admission in other one year differn then past stude in 2014 sept in quebec.
and currently i am studing that program /
i have applied for my study permit extention on may 25. i got cal from cic 2 months ago and visa officer said me that i am mssing my previous transcripts so i sent it by fax.
and i called cic this week they told me that your file is under review and they transfered my file to local visa office where i am studing.and it will take 16 weeks.
What did u do from Sept 2013 to Jan 2014? And u are extending for your first SP?
Since your SP issued before Jun 2014, u MIGHT not have any problem IF u have an acceptable reason why u dropped studying. I hope that u have included it to your application
Anyway, if u didnt break the laws (working illegally...) u should be fine. Good luck
They transfer files to local visa offices for further investigations. They may contact your school, etc to find out what you were doing when you dropped courses. They are just trying to establish whether you are a bona fide student and did not work illegally.
One of the conditions of the off-campus work permit (back then) is the student must attend school full-time during the regular term (Sep - April) and work a max of 20 hrs/week. If you dropped out of school but still worked, you breached the conditions even if you only worked 20 hrs/week.
Your study permit extension may be refused and you may be asked to leave Canada within 30 days. Hope it does not come to that, but it's a possibility.
