Hi,

I was refused Canadian work permit last year in September and now applying for a Study Permit for January 2015 intake.

What reasons can I give to the Visa Officer for change of mind? He may refuse my application on the grounds that I applied for work permit last year and now I am applying for study permit because I was refused work permit.

How can I convince the Visa Officer?

What were the reasons for work permit refusal? Did you have a LMO? What's your complete profile? What program do you plan to apply to?

You'll need to provide stronger proof that shows you have ties to your home country. You will also need to explain why you were at first interested in coming to Canada on a work permit and are now switching to a study permit. This makes it look like your primary purpose for apply for a study permit is to find a way to get to Canada.

you just explain everything to VO, Explain him that you want gain some international experience and exposure but after rejection I relieze that i need to upgrade myself to the international level so that the reason i am applying for study permit as it will upgrade me to the international as well give me international exposure, i choose Canada because it is one of the most economically affordable quality education providing country unlike like USA and Australia where students have to pay huge money for the same. having international education poses great value in india as it is a developing country and various MNC are heading there way towar india.
