If your family is living in Alberta or Manitoba, you may qualify for PNP family stream in which case you don't need a job offer before you come.
Otherwise depending on what you do for a living, you may qualify for PNP skilled or semi-skilled worker in some province. Then you would need a temporary work permit and then apply for permanent residency through your employer and the province.
Otherwise you can see if you qualify to apply for federal skilled worker from the UK, takes about 3 years to process now I think but if you get it, you would get permanent residency right away.
As for moving, your electrical appliances will not work. Unless you have some really nice stuff, I wouldn't bother bring much along. I know a German guy who just came here and brought a container with his stuff. He was told by the moving company that it was stuck in customs in Montreal for the last 9 weeks. The moving company wanted him to pay them $2,000 which he did. Then they sent him another bill for $18,000 storage fees. He actually checked and found out that it was cleared of customs a long time ago but for some reason they didn't bother shipping it to him.
I have not looked into PNP family stream so I do not know if the sponsor is held financially responsible for your upkeep but if so, that would mean it is possibly a bad idea for the sponsor if they think you will apply for welfare as soon as you arrive. For you, it is a bit easier if you can be sponsored because you do not have to have a job before you arrive.
Also Would it be an advantage since i am a british citizen living in the United Kingdom and is there any other ways on moving to canada ...
i would like to move there A.S.A.P thank you
