My wife and I are applying for the SP+OWP visa. She will be studying for a master's degree, and I will be accompanying her.
We have some doubts about our letters: her Letter of Explanation (main applicant) and my Purpose of Travel/Letter of Intent (accompanying spouse).
What did you include in these letters? We've seen a lot of different information online—some videos suggest detailing everything possible, while others say to be straight to the point.
Her letter is currently three pages long, covering the reasons for choosing Canada, the school, some financial proof, and ties to home country.
Mine is already longer, at eight pages, discussing our relationship, financial proof, reasons for accompanying her, my education and current job, my plans for returning, and ties to home country.
Did you follow a similar approach? Can anyone who has gone through this process give us some guidance?

I appreciate any help in advance!

Way too long. What school is she attending for her masters degree and what program? What is her education and work history? What is your home country? What amount of funds can you show?
