I am a bit confused and looking to find the correct NOC code for my job. I am working as a Programmer Analyst with below job duties :-
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Properly develop and manage software code using available tools
Test code to ensure reliable functionality
Manage development, test and production environments
Review user requirements, enhance and develop Corporate Systems to meet needs
Review code and assist manager to coordinate software development priorities
Analyze business situations to create programming solutions
Understand all .NET applications within the Corporation
Propose technical solutions to the manager including appropriate development environment
Work with Project Leader to establish project schedule for migration between the system
you can go to cic site itself where they have very clearly defined NOC and description. there is bit difference between computer programmer and software engineers. you should careful check that.
if you have your employer filed for your work permit , they must have also mentioned your NOC in their application to CIC. thats how i picked up mine.
it is completely based on my experience , you are going to fall under 2174 or 2173 , however CIC always updates description so you should check everyhting.

My employer did not file my work permit. I am on PGWP. See thats my problem, i am not sure if i should go with 2173, 2174 or 2175? I have worked on e-commerece web applications using C# .NET, SQL and front end scripts as well. I have also worked on a MSI installer for windows and will work on MAC installers.
I am so confused, I made my EE profile picking 2174 but now I am thinking if I should change it or not?
