Hello Fellow members,

Hope you all well, I planning to move to Canada but i have searching for answers on different forums and recently i have heard that some rules have changed so I want to write fresh question here.

I am a Uk national and wanting to move to Canada as my many relatives lives there and i believe life is much better there.
I have been in contact with an agent in Canada who said i have two options, 1. apply in express entry and 2. apply for SINP program.

they were asking nearly 4000 us dollors for SINP and 2500 US dollors for express entry, and services they were offering were just advising on different things.

Can someone please answer following questions:

1. Where i can find out what program is good for me I.e express entry or SINP ? (recently heard that there are no more spaces left on SINP)
2. Does it matter which province or territory should i choose.
3. Do you think paying above amount will worth it or i can apply myself by seeking information here or on different forums ?
4. as per new rules do i have to first secure my job there in Canada or i can be given immigration based on my qualifications/experience.

I am really naive for Canadian immigration process so please advise as much as you can.

I would be really thankful.

Regards

You need to first fill up Express Entry (EE) profile that will tell you your CRS score. If it is greater than 450 you have fairly good chances of getting Canadian Invitation-To-Apply (ITA) in next couple of months. If your score is below 450, then you may try to get yourself nominated by one of Canadian provinces, SINP is one of the provincial nomination program. There are other programs from different Canadian provinces as well.

2. Does it matter which province or territory should i choose.
If you win direct ITA you can settle in any Canadian province. If you obtain ITA via province nomination then you need to land in that province and morally should try to settle in it but practically Canadian constitution allows PRs to live or work in any province.

3. Do you think paying above amount will worth it or i can apply myself by seeking information here or on different forums ?
If you can read CIC website and follow this forum then you can very well apply and manage everything yourself . It's not that difficult but requires time. You need not spend money with any consultant at all.

4. as per new rules do i have to first secure my job there in Canada or i can be given immigration based on my qualifications/experience.
Well, obtaining a job from outside Canada is difficult but if you have friends and family in Canada and they refer you for jobs then it can be done. If you have LMIA backed Canadian job then your CRS score gets a big boost and almost certain ITA. Most people are not able to get a job from outside so they apply based on their education, IELTS score, experience etc.

I am really naive for Canadian immigration process so please advise as much as you can.
This forum is a wealth of information plus very helpful members. Almost all your questions would have already been answered in old threads in "Express Entry /Expression of Interest" Section. If you get stuck anywhere just ask question and forum members would certainly help. All the Best.
I would be really thankful.
