Need advice on experience????

Hi,

I worked as a cook from january 2012 to june 2012 than 3 months of gap and than I changed employer started working as a cook again from october 2012 to till now. I have already completed 1900 hours work. I would like to know is it ok if apply for CEC now. does 3 months of the gap in the work matters.

thanks for your reply, I also read on the above link that full time work is 30 hours of work every week for 12 months. Does it mean that 1430 hours of work is sufficient to apply for CEC even if we complete it before 12 months.

It means exactly what it says.

If you have worked 30 hours or more per week for at least 12 months, you are eligible to apply. If you have not, you will need to make up the difference before applying.

I have read some posts hear and they tell you need work full time 30 hours/week for 12 months or 1530 hours of work. But I just want to know what if we complete 1530 hours in less than 12 months.

You need 12 months. If you don't have 12 months then you do not qualify to apply for CEC.

thanks for clarifying otherwise I was thinking it is either 12 months or 1530 hours of experience. One more thing I wanna know that my postgraduate work permit was issued after 2 months I started working full time cause I was told by my college that I can work full time on my off campus workpermit full time until I receive my PGWP, so can I include those 2 months before issuing of PGWP

Only the time spent working on your post graduate work permit can be counted. You cannot count the two months you spent working using your off campus work permit.

But CIC website states "have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization " doesen say it has to be on PGWP.

Date that your Diploma was Issued
Date of your PGWP

Whichever is later, use that as the start date to reduce the risk of rejection due to calculation issues. Per the Immigration Act, the law uses the word "after graduation" which would be when you receive your diploma.

Yes. You have already been given the answers you need. They aren't going to change.
