I do have National Identity Document so I wrote on the general application the number.
Do I also have to attach the copy of it with the translation and affidavit?

yes, everything that you present and it is written in a language other than English/French must be translated.
I had the same problem, and didn't have a translation, so I didn't even bother to fill that in. Your passport is the most important thing, and hopefully that is translated. In my country you can go around with the passport as an National ID cause they share the same number.
