Name of spouse on passport

One important question.

Is it must to have name of husband on wife's passport? As my wife already has passport under her maiden name so currently the passport she hold at back page show name of her father and mother only and name of spouse is blank.she also has visit visa for Canada. As I already got all required documents from her but today one my friend told me that it is must to have husband name on wife's passport before I send application. Please advise me on it .

A lot of women (& also many different cultures) do not change their last names to their husbands last names, there are some men that have even changed their last names to their wives last name. Keep it as it is, unless she has done a legal name change.
If everything is currently under her maiden name, keep it as it is. I wouldn't start now.

Not necessarily it's really up to both if u whether to used maiden name or married name in your application as long as the same name on application form and passport name. In our case I'm the applicant, my husband want me to used his surname so even passport is just a year old, I renewed and used my married name.
