Hi All, my wife's first and last name in her passport is as given name and the surname is blank(which I find with several Indian passport). As a result her COPR and PR Card has only the last name field with her actual first and last name and first name in COPR and PR Card is blank. Her PR card is due for renewal next year( mid 2017) and her passport due for renewal end of 2017. We are planning to get the PR renewal application to be filed and then when the passport is due for renewal to make the name correction. And then I request a change in PR Card and COPR after the new passport is received. Does this sound good ? Any problems with this?

I don't see any issues. These are two separate processes. PR card name can be changed but name on the COPR always remains the same.

Pr card will always have the name which is on passport. If u want to change nane then first passport needs to be corrected and then pr card. Cuz for pr card name change they require a primary document with the new name which is ur passport
