Name change process in Canada

My wife has completed 3 years stay in Canada as permanent resident. my QUESTION - right now she wants to add last name to her current name (want to change her name) before applying Citizenship application so that she can submit name change proof along with Citizenship application and want last name added on her Canada passport in the future. How can she do that, and where in GTA region Ontario can do that ? Where in GTA region and how can she change her name in Canada? Please kindly provide us valuable information.

I recently changed my legal name, it took about 8 weeks.

They send a certificate of name change, if all documents are properly submitted.

Thanks. Can she do it in few days by lawyer, court or notary in Ontario ?

I think it would be better if you change name after citizenship process and before applying for documents such as passport.
