myCIC sent an email saying app updated but cannot see a difference

but nothing has changed

should I wait for sometime and check again ? Or are they just accessing my docs?

Don't know why it happens, but it happened to me today too. I am on very much the same timeline as you.

it happens to me a couple of times, i would not worry about it.

That happens because someone opened your file for review or something

that is an automatic mail coz they have opened ur case.....it happens to me really often by this days and 2 weeks ago still background check so be nervous ...almost done...decline or approved .....check every day ur profile even if its no mail

In addition to general terrorist and criminal activity, they check your work sources - that's why you have to give contact information. There, they ask questions about your job, but also about you as a person.

So mine got updated today, background check in progress there was an update after all it just takes 24 hours to be reflected in the website.

as far as I know this is a security check. they confirm your police report/s and also run a check on certain database to check you are in good character. Lists such as sex offenders etc..

It is very common and normal here in the US and Im guessing its the same in Canada. Any job/lease agreement agency will run a background check on you.
