I am a British Citizen, currently living with my Canadian citizen wife in Canada. She literally just found out she is pregnant, just three weeks along. I was literally a few days away from posting our Spousal Sponsorship papers. So now will have to re-do the form that asked about being pregnant.
It doesn't ask about any medical proof just a due date. Should we wait till we have a letter from a doctor conforming this also, seems not much relies on our word in these forms?
Also I read that this can actually delay my Sponsorship and Open Work Permit. Should I skip it for now? Its very early on for all they know we could have found out after? After all now I really want to be able to work as soon as possible.
It would delay the medical if she was the principal applicant, since they have to take x-rays and its often advised not to get those done when pregnant.
The wife is the sponsor. She is Canadian.
PA is the husband. (OP)
There is no need to update IRCC for anything. If your application is still on-going when the baby is born, then you need to update your form with your baby's information. (But the baby already is Canadian so no need to add as "accommodating dependent" )

Believe there is a box to check off if you are pregnant or not and when your due date is. Pregnancy is likely to factor into the assessment of the relationship. If they haven’t sent in their application yet not sure why they wouldn’t update their form. There are lots of websites that will calculate your due date exactly like your doctor does.
